Terms & conditions
Deposits, collection, builds, warranties and your rights.
Updated 19 October 2026. These terms apply to consumer website orders.
Who you are buying from
Tamworth Computer Centre UK Ltd, company number 05516030, VAT number 866 920 096. Contact and collection address: 5 Victoria Road, Tamworth, B79 7HL. Email sales@tamworth-computers.co.uk or call 01827 316131.
Orders and prices
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT. Read the item condition and specification before ordering. An enquiry is not an order. Paying a deposit submits your order; the automatic payment receipt acknowledges payment. We will contact you to confirm acceptance, availability and collection arrangements. Please check your contact details carefully. We will agree any proposed change with you before proceeding where it falls outside the equivalent-brand permission below.
10% online deposit — remainder only in store
Online checkout takes a 10% deposit towards the displayed total, rounded to the nearest penny. The remaining balance is payable only in store on collection. We do not take the remaining balance online. Stripe handles card payments; do not send us card details by email or WhatsApp. Deposits are not automatically forfeited and these terms do not remove cancellation or refund rights.
Collection and build timing
Goods must be collected from our Tamworth shop unless another arrangement has been agreed separately in advance. Checkout does not include delivery. Please wait for us to confirm your goods are ready, then arrange collection within 7 days unless otherwise agreed. Bring your order reference. We may ask for reasonable evidence that you are the purchaser or an authorised collector before handing over goods.
System builds normally take an estimated 5–7 days. Contact us for priority service; availability and any extra charge must be agreed first. We will contact you about delays. An estimate does not remove your rights if an agreed deadline is missed.
System-builder specifications and substitutions
The build total includes the listed components, assembly, testing and VAT. Windows, software and optional extras are not included unless expressly listed. Extras requiring a quote cannot be included in a deposit checkout until agreed.
Component availability changes. If you tick the substitution agreement, a component brand or model may be replaced with a compatible equivalent of the same or better specification and performance at no extra cost. We will record the final specification and tell you about changes. Your agreement does not permit a downgrade, extra charge, or material change to appearance or features without your further agreement. Contact us before paying if a particular brand or model is essential. We check the finished build for compatibility; the online checks do not replace workshop checks.
Cancellation and returns
For ordinary goods ordered online, you can cancel before collection or tell us within 14 days after you receive the goods. You then have a further 14 days to return them. Email or write to the contact address above with your name and order reference; a clear statement is enough. You do not have to use the form below. For change-of-mind returns, you pay the direct return cost. Contact us about faulty goods so we can arrange an appropriate return.
Where goods have been received, we refund within 14 days after receiving them back or evidence of return, whichever is earlier. If goods have not been supplied, we refund within 14 days after being told of cancellation. Refunds use the original payment method unless otherwise agreed, without a refund fee. Where lawful, a deduction may be made for handling beyond what is needed to establish the goods' nature, characteristics and functioning. Any standard delivery charge paid is refunded where required.
Genuinely personalised goods can have different cancellation rules, but we do not assume that selecting standard PC components removes your cancellation rights. Any applicable exception must be explained before an order is agreed. Faulty-goods rights still apply. If you cannot collect on time, contact us; we will not automatically keep your deposit.
Warranty and faulty goods
New goods have a 12-month hardware warranty. Refurbished goods have a 6-month hardware warranty unless a different warranty is clearly stated in the item details before purchase. The warranty starts when you receive the goods. Our additional hardware warranty does not cover software issues; this does not exclude your legal rights relating to supplied software or digital content. Contact the shop with proof of purchase and a description of the issue.
Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their agreed purpose. Your legal remedies, including repair, replacement or refund where applicable, are separate from and may last beyond a warranty. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Repairs, components and enquiries
Sending repair details requests contact; it does not guarantee an appointment or repair price. We confirm charges and authorisation before work. Please back up important files where possible and discuss data needs with us. Component enquiries are checked by our team; this website does not automatically order or arrange direct delivery from a supplier.
Complaints
Please contact sales@tamworth-computers.co.uk or 01827 316131 with your order reference so we can help. These terms are governed by English law, without taking away mandatory consumer protections or your right to use the courts available to you where you live in the UK.
