Tell us the problem. We’ll help with the next step.
A cracked screen, a broken hinge, a PC that won’t start or a gaming system running hot: bring the problem to your local repair team. You don’t need to know the technical name for it. Describe what’s happening and we’ll discuss inspection and your options.
Our diagnostic charge is £46.80 including VAT (£39 + VAT). We investigate the fault and give you a repair quote before any repair work starts. If you go ahead and we carry out the repair, we waive the diagnostic charge — you pay only the agreed repair price. If you choose not to proceed, you pay the diagnostic charge for the assessment.
No repair goes ahead without your approval. Sending your details is free and does not authorise work or book an appointment.
Save time when you visit
Send your contact details, device make and model, and a description of the problem before coming in. We can review your enquiry and discuss the next step with you. Please call for current workshop availability.
What can we help with?
These are common faults and repair enquiries we can assess. The right repair depends on the model, damage, parts availability and whether the work is worthwhile.
Screens & display problems
Cracked or damaged laptop screens, flickering displays, lines, dim images and blank-screen faults. We check the likely cause and suitable replacement options.
Hinges, lids & cracked plastics
Broken or stiff hinges, damaged hinge mounts, separating cases, cracked lids, bezels and palm rests. We assess the surrounding damage as well as the hinge itself.
Keyboards, touchpads & controls
Missing or unresponsive keys, liquid-damaged keyboards, touchpad problems and faulty power buttons. Replacement parts depend on the model.
Charging, batteries & power
Laptops that won’t charge, poor battery life, loose power sockets, damaged charging connections and desktop power faults.
Soldering & component-level repairs
Ask about damaged sockets, connectors, solder joints and motherboard faults. We assess whether a component repair is practical before recommending replacement.
Starting, crashing & slowing down
No power, no display, startup failures, blue screens, freezing, unexpected restarts and slow performance. Hardware and software can cause similar symptoms, so diagnosis comes first.
Data recovery & file transfers
Lost files, failing drives and moving documents or photos to another computer. Recovery depends on the fault and cannot be guaranteed; discuss important data before repair work begins.
Windows, software & malware
Operating-system problems, troublesome updates, drivers, unwanted pop-ups, viruses and malware. Ask about software setup and getting a new computer ready to use.
Storage, memory & desktop parts
SSD and memory upgrades, replacement drives, graphics-card and power-supply fault diagnosis, and advice on compatible replacement components.
Connections, printers & peripherals
Wi-Fi and wired network problems, printer setup and faults, USB devices, audio issues and external displays. Bring the model details so we can advise.
Liquid spills & accidental damage
Spilled drinks, dropped laptops and damaged connections need assessment. Switch off a wet device and avoid powering it up to test it before seeking advice.
Gaming PC faults & cooling
Crashes during games, noisy fans, high temperatures and cooling problems. We can discuss fault-finding, airflow, upgrades and a workshop clean.
GIVE YOUR COMPUTER SOME CARE
Dusty gaming PC? Hot, noisy laptop?
We clean dirty PCs and gaming systems inside and out, and offer laptop strip-down cleaning and re-thermal servicing. Dust can build up where you can’t see it, around fans, cooling fins and air passages.
PC & gaming system cleaning
Internal dust removal, fans, vents and filters, plus exterior cleaning. Ask us to assess airflow, fan noise and cooling while the system is in the workshop.
Laptop strip-down & thermal servicing
Access to the cooling assembly for cleaning, with thermal paste or pads renewed where appropriate for the model and condition. We assess the cooling system rather than assuming dust is the only cause.
Bring the model details, describe the fault and tell us if important files are at risk.
02 · Discuss inspection & options
We explain the proposed next step, including our diagnostic charge, parts and likely timescale.
03 · Choose what works for you
Discuss repair, upgrade or replacement based on the condition of your computer and your budget.
Please call for current availability. Repair times depend on diagnosis, workload and parts. Back up accessible files before bringing your device in, and tell us if you need help doing so.
